Meet Cassidy & The Coaches
COACH CASSIDY
OWNER & HEAD COACH
“I was hooked after being introduced to tumbling & gymnastics at age 2. By 14, I was coaching and co-established a Special Needs Cheer team. In High School, I trained with South Elite in Seattle, winning multiple All American awards and GSSA West Coast Cheerleader of the Year. At the University of Louisville I helped my team win 3 World Championships and 4 National Championships, and earned All American all four years. After earning my Bachelor’s in Psychological Brain Sciences, a Master’s in Sports and Performance Psychology, and coaching for 10+ years, I founded The Academy of Acrobatic Sports to bring advanced cheer and acro back to the Tri-Cities”.
COACH SAIGE
HEAD COACH & ALL STAR CHEER COACH
“I began tumbling as a toddler and was competitive in gymnastics by age 8. These skills were so transferable, that I was able to be a multi-sport athlete at Kamiakin High School (gymnastics, cheer, dive, track, and judo) and pursue cheer through college. It was a huge accomplishment to be the only female freshman flyer at University of Montana. Transferring to WSU for cheer, I was able to study Kinesiology and intern with the Strength & Conditioning department, where I worked with several collegiate sports teams. I enjoy helping young kids see how gymnastics, acro, and cheer can take them places!”
COACH KAITLYN
RECREATIONAL CHEER COACH & HEAD COACH
“I’ve experienced a lot of different coaching styles and methods in tumbling, cheer, and dance, and I use that skill and knowledge to make a positive impact on our kids at the Academy. I started dance and tumbling at 3, did rec and competitive cheer as a youth, and cheered for the Hanford Varsity team for 4 years. While earning my Bachelor’s of Science in English, I joined the school’s cheer and dance team, earned Cheer & Dance Performer of the Year twice, and helped grow the team from just 3 members to the successful sideline team it is today. I enjoy giving kids an opportunity to apply themselves, so they can see their own projectability.”
COACH MIKAYLA
RECREATIONAL CHEER COACH & HEAD COACH
“The skills I learned in gymnastics from age 6 to 11, lead me to competitive cheer at age 13. I cheered throughout high school, where I earned 2 national titles, and coached youth recreational and competitive cheer teams. Currently, I am pursuing my Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Marketing while coaching here at the Academy! Coaching has always been my favorite job and I’m grateful for the opportunity to help these kids grow.”
